If you are a mama to be right now it is a bit of a scary time. Although we all want to stay safe, with that comes limiting who can be in the delivery room with you. I joined up with new mom Jessica Crum (@jesshogancrum) on this project to try to bring some comfort to new moms during these uncertain times.

The quote, “God doesn’t call the equipped. He equips the the called,” reassuringly, hugs around the mom to be. We want the moms receiving this art to know that, even if the other parent or your best friend or your mom, can't physically be in the room with you when you deliver, and you don't feel ready, THEY ARE NOT ALONE. We all being asked to take on assignments right now that we may feel inadequate to tackle on our own. But when called to act, god will give you what you need, when you need it, to get through it. It’s okay to be scared, to not feel prepared, and to recognize our weaknesses/shortcomings. It is this vulnerability that makes us human and open to letting god work through us.

The new mom is holding her belly and smiling, eager to meet and celebrate this new life. She is adorned in a flower crown, a symbol of natural processes and reproduction, and is accompanied by a small blue butterfly resting on one of her flowers. In many cultures, butterflies are powerful representations of life, endurance, change and hope.

Jessica and I also wanted a way to thank the many health professionals who have stepped up in ways we can't even imagine right now to fight for our health and safety. Each print will come with a "Masks are the new Capes" card to give to your nurses and doctors on your big day.

In an effort to unite and bring some reassurance to any and all anxious mom's of any faith , this print is available with or with out the quotation.

For the mom options the first word refers to the hair color, the second refers to the length and the third refers to the skin tone. For example "brun med fair" means a brunette with the medium length hair style and fair skin.

From the second set of drop downs, it’s regarding whether you’d like the quote (“God doesn’t call the equipped - He equips the called”) included or not included. The pink or blue color refers to the color of the dress.
