If you want your dreams to come true you have to first have a DREAM! Let yourself dream bigger than you even think is possible. You don’t have to know all the steps to get there yet. Just take one step at a time.
I struggle with organization 🙋🏼♀️. I have been referred to as a human hurricane, leaving a trail of projects and mess wherever I go 😬.
I want to be organized and remember appointments but struggle to actually write them down, figuring I’d just remember them (haha what a joke). Or if I do put them in my phone calendar, I just don't look at it. So, for a couple of years now I’ve had this vision of a place where I would actually want to write down my plans and dreams and even be inspired to make bigger plans and have bigger dreams! Also a place where I could SEE them all. Like in my face, can't avoid them. I also wanted something more personal than a mere pretty pic. Something that would cheer me on and remind me of how far I’ve come. One that would push me to take a step even before I felt ready. One that reminded me that the only person I need to be better than is the person I was yesterday. And, most of all, one that made me excited about conquering each day because each day is a gift.
I knew in my heart that if I felt this way, others probably did too. As far as I knew, this calendar didn’t exist. So I dreamed it into existence. I bridged the gab between dreams and reality with ACTION. I subconsciously had already been taking steps. I already had been keeping a list of my favorite quotes in a note on my phone. Sometimes, we’d be in bed and my husband would be like “who are you texting this late?” and I’m like “I’m not texting - I’m just writing down some of my thoughts about life” 😂. So, I had a thoughts about life note too. And a note of ideas of things I wanted to draw.
Once I let myself acknowledge TO MYSELF the beauty of my dream, I was able to implement a PLAN to bring it to life. It was a long process but it was also a fun process to match up illustrations with a quote/idea or bring a quote/idea to life with an illustration.
So I guess this is a (very) long winded reminder that you can either dream your life or you can LIVE YOUR DREAM and I’m choosing the latter. Who’s coming with me? 🙋🏼♀️
